10 Jan Boys & Girls Club of Massillon Benefits from Community Donation
The Boys & Girls Club of Massillon received a donation January 10 from Kinder Morgan to support the organization’s programs benefitting local youths.
Allen Fore, vice president of public affairs for Kinder Morgan, presented a check for $5,000 to Boys & Girls Club of Massillon Executive Director Vince Pedro during a tour of the facility.
“Thanks to this generous donation from Kinder Morgan, we can continue to serve the young people in our community with high quality programming that furthers their development,” said Pedro.
“Kinder Morgan is pleased to support the important services the Boys & Girls Club of Massillon provides to the local community,” said Fore. “We are committed to partnering with local groups and nonprofit organizations, as we have across Ohio for over 60 years, and appreciate the hard work and dedication from the leadership and staff of the Boys & Girls Club of Massillon.”
The Boys & Girls Club of Massillon works to help youth of all backgrounds develop the qualities needed to become responsible citizens and leaders. The Club provides youth ages 6-18 daily access to a broad range of programs in core program areas of: Character and Leadership Development, Education and Career Development, Health & Life Skills, The Arts and Sports, Fitness & Recreation.
Every year more than 1,200 boys & girls at risk and in need are taking advantage of the programs, activities and services provided throughout the year by the Boys & Girls Club of Massillon, located at 730 Duncan Street, SW, Massillon, OH 44647.
